In June of 2003, Top Guard was honored to receive a Training Grant
from the Commonwealth of Virginia's Department of Business Assistance's
Workforce Services Program. Top Guard was chosen based on its prominent
position as one of the largest regional security firms in Virginia
and because of its success on federal, state, and municipal government
security contracts.
The Training Grant, the only one of its kind ever
awarded by Workforce Services, provides Top Guard with the funds
to develop a comprehensive training program including materials
on security officer duties and responsibilities regarding Homeland
Security. The program educates Top Guard security officers to observe,
react and prevent potentially harmful situations through written
materials, video training, seminars and simulated events.
